KFC Canada’s Fry Funeral campaign was launched to bid farewell to its old fries and introduce its new, boldly seasoned fries.

The campaign was created in partnership with creative AOR Courage and is a satirical take on a funeral procession, complete with a hearse and a live-streamed eulogy.

The funeral procession started at a KFC location in Toronto and hit high-traffic locations like Yonge-Dundas Square and the Budweiser Stage.

Inside the hearse was a casket full of french fries. The campaign was inspired by tweets and comments from Canadians who were not fans of KFC’s old fries.

The old fries were officially “put to rest” in a live-streamed funeral on August 1, 2023, at KFCFryFuneral.com

The new seasoned fries are crispy and seasoned enough to satisfy the toughest critics and are available for a limited time for just $1.
